If you are a new patient or are new to chiropractic in general, we want to ensure that when you enter our doors you know exactly what to expect. After you book an appointment, you will be greeted by our friendly receptionist who will be awaiting your arrival.
Upon your arrival you will fill out some paperwork, which will ask for your family history, as some issues in your body can be hereditary (but that does not mean that we cannot fix them). It will also ask you questions about your health habits and your medical history. Understanding your medical history as well as your current problem areas and symptoms is key to giving you the best care possible.
Consultation
Dr. Cynthia or Dr. Sal will first sit down with you to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctors to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Cynthia Mignano will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well.
X-Ray Studies
Dr. Cynthia and Dr. Sal can understand your health conditions and problems better by utilizing X-rays. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected we perform your examinations, Dr. Cynthia Mignano will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
1. How can you help me?
2. How often do I need to come in?
3. What will my treatment cost?
Treatment
At the conclusion of this initial appointment, you can choose to experience your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.
